We came to visit several cities in the area and we are always looking for great local restaurants. Since my husband is from UY we google for Uruguayan restaurants and found La Ronda. We order food to go and while we were waiting the owner Marco was very gracious to offer us some homemade chorizos with a special mayo and chimichurri to try it out. They were very tasty. So if you are looking for a place to enjoy some great food? Stop by La Ronda.

Beyond the Beach A great day in the Riviera Maya is to go try the many local restaurants beyond the beach. La Ronda Parrilla has great wood fired pizza, veggies, or BBQ to enjoy with a large choice of wines. Great food and service!

So my girlfriend wanted me to try the garlic fries here because she said they were delicious. So we decided to go. Let's just say...she was right!!! OMG!!! The best garlic fries ever! We had pizza as well...but the show stopper was the key lime pie!!! Just...WOW!!! This place is a MUST visit!

A breath of fresh air in touristy Playa del Carmen. Step in off the street and you could be in Montevideo, with all the favourite parrilla cuts (entrana and mollejas were the standouts) without the tourist markup. Lovely staff and excellent service; their house wine was very good too. I didn’t manage to get a photo of the meats before my family demolished them so had to make do with a photo of the asador.

Quite a gem in this little neighborhood. We had the grill platter for two including the house wine. The meat was cooked as we asked and everything was quite delicious. Our server, Juan, was taking his job quite serious and made us feel like we are in a Michelin Star rated place. Very professional service. We tried the Uruguayan dessert and then they had to roll us out the door. I'd go back in a heartbeat...but I would not get the house wine again... too sweet...

Half chicken with salad was good. Chicken is lightly seasoned but grilled very well. Salmon with mixed vegetables were great. Sauce and bread were also good to begin with. Service was great and the atmosphere is welcoming. Water was out in 2 of 3 bathrooms.
